Trying to get this thing to NOT show me postings from random strangers, is pretty frustrating. I thought this is what it promised it wouldn't do, but it sure does do it by default, and it's not clear that that can be overridden.
@Matthew Skala By default, it'll show you posts that have been interacted with in any way by someone you follow. I get some weird stuff in my timeline because of that.
To that end, I'm probably responsible for some weird stuff in yours. 🙃
@Jonathan Lamothe Yeah, I found an option under "social networks" that seems to disable at least *some* of the importing of unwanted material. It seems like a big part of the problem is that Friendica doesn't think in terms of postings but "conversations," and it either shows you an entire "conversation" or not.
